Self Driving Car Engineer Nanodegree

Role: Video Producer, Video Editor, Motion Graphics

The Self Driving Car Nanodegree was a huge undertaking, but when I was given the chance to produce it at Udacity, I did not hesitate! Udacity's founder, Sebastian Thrun, is considered the "godfather" of Self Driving Cars, so expectations were high, but our team stepped up to the challenge.

I'm a huge car nerd, so being able to work closely with engineers at Mercedes Benz, NVIDIA and Uber to design the course and see the amazing research they were doing in the field of self driving cars was a once in a lifetime experience.

During this project, I was lucky to go through testing to become a certified self-driving car operator and had the opportunity to take a car safety course at Sonoma Raceway. I also had the chance to attend my very first NASCAR race!

The SDC Nanodegree featured over 100 fully animated videos detailing advanced subjects like Computer Vision, Sensor Fusion, Localization, Control and more. I directly managed a team of video editors and motion designers to deliver this project on time, while producing and editing some of the interviews you see below to show. These industry expert interviews served to give students a glimpse into what they needed to be successful in the real world and also motivate them to finish the course.
